Tour for 14 days – 13 nights (The program and rates can be modified according to the dates of
the flights and the wishes of the customer)

DAY 1 : FLIGHT TO TASHKENT
With Uzbekistan Airways or change in Moscow or Istanbul. Arrival in Tashkent international
airport. Meeting with guide. Transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation. Sightseeing in the capital of
Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia with a
guide. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imam
Complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph
Uthman – Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast-Imom
visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tillya-Sheykh Mosque,
Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the
Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Explore Chor-Su
Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to city
center with Amir Timur Square, Independence Square
and Applied Arts Museum. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Overnight in Tashkent.
DAY 2 : TASHKENT – NUKUS - MUYNAQ
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport. Flight for Nukus (1 h 20 min). Arrive in Nukus and drive
to former fishermen’s town Muynak (220 km, 3 h.), which
used to be situated on the shores of Aral Sea. On the way
stop at archaeological complex Mizdakhan. In Muynak
have a look at a former port with abandoned ships in the
sand – “Cemetery of ships”. Then visit Local History
Museum with art exhibits of the Aral Sea history. In the
afternoon return to Nukus. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 3 : NUKUS / KHIVA
Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Savitsky Karakalpakstan Art
Museum. The museum hosts the world's second largest
collection of Russian avant-garde art and exposition of Karakalpak applied arts items. Have a
short drive around center of Nukus: see statue of Karakalpak poet Berdakh, Nukus City Hall, and
Drama Theatre. In the afternoon depart to Khiva (200 km, 4-5 h.). On the way visit
archaeological monuments of Ancient Khorezm: Chilpyk – a Zoroastrian dakhma, and ToprakKala
– the capital of Khorezm dating back to the 3rd century A.D. Arrive in Khiva, check in to
the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 4 : KHIVA
Breakfast at hotel. Spend a day in UNESCO World Heritage site Itchan-Kala Fortress, living
museum under the open sky. Take a walking sightseeing tour in Khiva with a guide: visit KunyaArk
Citadel, Tash-Khovli Palace, Mukhammad Aminkhan Madrasah, Mukhammad Rahimkhan
Madrasah, Kalta-Minor, Juma Mosque, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Minaret of IslamKhoja.
Free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: KHIVA - BUKHARA
In the morning depart Khiva and drive to Bukhara
(480 km, 7-8 h.*). The Great Silk Road once routed
through Bukhara and Khiva ran through the
Kyzylkum Desert, as the present road does
nowadays. Stop en-route to enjoy views of
Amudarya River and the desert. Lunch on route.
Arrive in Bukhara late in the afternoon, check in to
the hotel. Time for rest and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 6: BUKHARA
Breakfast. City tour: mausoleum of the Samanids - the most ancient brick building in Central
Asia, a masterpiece of world architecture (9-10th c.), the mausoleum of Chashma Ayub that
belongs to esteemed "places of trace" left by saints (14th c). The legend says that once the bible
prophet Job (Ayub) visited this place. Visit to the museums of Imam Al Bukhari and "The
Museum of Water". Bolo-Houz Mosque - the only monument of medieval Bukhara (beg. of 20th
c), Ark - the center of Bukhara statehood (4th c BC), silk carpet shops, complex Poi Kalon
("Beneath the Great"): Kalyan Minaret - the main symbol of sacred Bukhara that symbolized
authority and power of spiritual governors. (12th c), Kalyan Mosque - its area of 130 x 80 m
surpasses Bibi-Khanym mosque in
Samarkand, Miri Arab Madrassah - active
madrassah is one of the most esteemed
spiritual Islamic universities (16th c), Taki
Zargaron - the dome of jewelers (15-16th
cc), Ulugbeg Madrassah - one of the 3
madrassahs constructed by grandson of
Tamerlan - Ulugbeg (15th c), Abdulazizkhan
Madrassah - a traditional madrassah
with 2 floors of hudjras and a mosque on
the central axis ( mid. of 17th c), Tim of
Abdullah-Khan madrassah (1588-1590), atlas shops, Magoki-Attari Mosque - the most ancient
mosque in Bukhara (12th c) is considered a masterpiece of Bukhara architecture, Khanaka and
madrassah of Nadir Divan-Beghi - a massive rectangular structure that was a place for the refuge
and meditation of Sufis (17th c), Kukeldash Madrassah (16th c) - one of the biggest Bukhara
madrassah, Lyabi-Hauz ensemble - the largest artificial reservoir of medieval Bukhara - is very
popular among travelers (14-17th cc), Chor Minor ("Four minarets") is an unusual madrassah
built by Caliph Niyazkul (18th c). Overnight in a quiet and cozy Bukhara hotel.
DAY 8 : BUKHARA
Start the second day with a visit to Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – summer residence of Bukhara’s last
emir, unique site combining Oriental and Russian architecture. Continue to Bakhouddin
Naqshbandi Mausoleum and Chor-Bakr Necropolis. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Overnight
at the hotel.
DAY 9 : BUKHARA – GIJDUVAN – NURATA – YOURTS CAMP
Breakfast. In the morning depart to yurt camp located in Kyzylkum desert (230 km, 4-5h.). On
the way stop in Gijduvan pottery masters workshop and Nurata town to visit a local mosque with
a holy spring water. In the afternoon continue driving to yurt camp in Kyzylkum desert. Stop on
Nurata pass to see petroglyphs. Arrive in Safari Yurt
Camp, accommodation in yurt. Camel riding and
free time. In the evening dinner near the camp fire
with Kazakh akin singing folk songs. Overnight in
DAY 10 : YOURTS CAMP – VILLAGE
People have been living in Nurata Mountains since
the times of Alexander the Great. Villagers keep
house and farm as it was done centuries ago.
Women cook on the open fire, weave, spin yarn,
bake their own bread, milk the cows. Men farm, shepherd, built houses of stone, rocks and clay.
Stay in a village, watching birds, hiking, riding donkey, and participating in cooking traditional
food gives an excellent opportunity to witness life of local peasants.
DAY 11 : SENTOB VILLAGE – SAMARKAND
Depart the village and drive to Samarkand (220 km,
4 h.). Arrival in Samarkand, check in to the hotel.
Time for rest. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12 : SAMARKAND
Meet your guide and driver at hotel lobby to start
city tour. Visit spectacular Registan Square, remains
of Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Ulugbek
Observatory, Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis and Gur-Emir Mausoleum – authentic shrine of
Tamerlane. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 13: SAMARKAND - TASHKENT
Check-out from the hotel till noon. Continue sightseeing: visit Afrasiab Museum and the Tomb
of Saint Daniel. Then drive to Konigil village to explore traditional way of making Samarkand
paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with car and driver at your disposal after sightseeing tour.
At 16:00 transfer to railway station to take the fast-speed Afrosiyob train departing to Tashkent
at 17:00 (300 km). Scheduled arrival time is 19:10. Pick-up and transfer to hotel in Tashkent.
Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 14 : TACHKENT - EUROPE
